#33 Masc 4 Masc Only, Honey!

October 9, 2026 42 min

From Wolves In The City - the Black gay podcast with Lee Gray & DJ Jay Jay Revlon.

A Law & Order: SVU episode before bed sends Lee back to a part of his past he looks at very differently now: growing up gay online in the BGC Live days - the Black gay chat site that predates Grindr - and the older men who knew exactly how young the boys they were talking to were.

He and Jay Jay trade memories of that era: the house parties, the Angel Crew, the "come for dinner" invitations that were nothing of the sort, and why none of it registered as wrong at the time. Looking back as adults, they call it what it was - and Lee has a word for the young people listening: there is time. Be patient, and watch your drinks.

Right Here Right Now: a viral video claims masculine gay men are under attack from the fems. Jay Jay - recording in a 40-inch bust down and ten-inch nails - is unconvinced, and the boys get into masc as an aesthetic, femmephobia, and why Jay Jay stopped caring somewhere in his twenties.

And an AITA with a stepdad, a 13-year-old, and a birthday trip to Universal Studios planned for the one week the stepson is not around. Jay Jay says leave the child at home; Lee, who has lived this from the child's side, says the man is "absolutely positively the asshole".
